The result was written on the back of the course details by Geoff Bray (which was kindly provided by Tom Bray). There were 25 starters, and only 13 finishers. *Arthur Roling has shown us a medal he received for winning the event, but that shows a mileage of 220 miles 386 yards. We assume that this is the corrected final distance, and the correct winning mileage.
